Install & first run

Requirements

• macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel).
• The Salesforce CLI — install from developer.salesforce.com/tools/salesforcecli or brew install sfdx-cli. Verify with sf --version.
• A Laki Bits account — the app is invite-only during the free phase.

Install

1. Download the signed, notarized Laki Agent .dmg from your hub at app.lakibits.com.
2. Open the DMG and drag Laki Agent to Applications.
3. Launch it. Because it's signed and notarized by Apple, it opens without a Gatekeeper warning.

First run

On launch you'll land on the Sign in with Laki Bits gate — the whole app stays locked until you sign in with an approved account. The embedded browser doesn't load your org until you're signed in. Next: Sign in.

Laki Agent ships as a self-contained desktop app, not a website — there's nothing to deploy or host. Your org data and your prompts stay on your Mac: it talks to your orgs through your own CLIs. The only things it sends to Laki Bits are your account sign-in, the optional run-replay feed, and content-free product usage events — a fixed list of event names whose properties are enumerations, clamped counts, booleans and version numbers, never prompts, org data, org names, instance URLs, file paths, or error text.
